Manchester Airport is a busy place. Handling over 23 million travellers each year, the airport must maximise its efficiency. Using Microsoft Azure, a research team is doing just that. Using models designed on open source tools, the team is analysing data from planes taxiing to untangle the delays and conflicts that slow travel. Utilising the computing power of Azure will help this project reduce delays, reduce environmental impacts and save money.
